Many times, we had seen film stars playing cricket. But, all the times they had played, it was either for charity or other social welfare activities. Now, they are another mission.
Just like the IPL, which became popular in the recent past, Celebrity Cricket League (CCL) has been organised in which celebrities from Bollywood and South Indian film industries will play cricket. This is for the first time that such a form of game is being held.
Celebrity Cricket League will comprise of 4 teams – Bollywood (Mumbai Heroes), Tollywood (Telugu Tigers), Kollywood (Tamil Superstars) and Sandalwood (Bangalore Stars). The first season of CCL will have 6 league matches followed by grand finals.
Tollywood team is now getting ready for CCL. Manchu vishnuvardhan is the owner of the team. He bought it under his newly formed 24 Frames Factory. Victory Venkatesh has been selected as the Captain. Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Tapsee Pannu are going to be brand ambassadors.
Surya Sivakumar will be leading the Tamil team, which is owned by Nadigar Sangam (Artist Association).
